Items for our Shipping Container

Workbooks: We are using the "Let's Start Talking" method of teaching English to the Panamanian people. English opens many doors of opportunities for people, especially working in the tourism and hospitality industries.  $150 donation will purchase 10 copies of the Studies in Luke, workbook. We hope to take 50 copies of Luke 1 and Luke 2 (a total of $3,000 in workbooks.

Bibles: We need Bibles in both Spanish and English.  We can order cases of 24 Spanish Bibles for $125, and a case of 40 English Bibles for $200. These are both basic paperback versions of the text. We are looking into purchasing Spanish Bibles in Panama (but need translations that are not Catholic versions).

Most of our supplies we can purchase in Panama, but items like toner for our printer, staplers, binding combs, and items to set up our work center are needed. We are budgeting $1,200 to provide what we need to get started and last for the first year.

We will be taking much of our own household items. Dishes, small appliances, and personal items. What we need to purchase are good, air-tight storage containers for the pantry, and heavy duty storage containers for shipping.  Our budget for these items is approximately $600.

Prayer is at the heart of any good we hope to accomplish. It is only through God's power and might that we can serve the people of Panama. Your daily prayers bring promise and hope to the work we strive to do each day.

We are currently working with some international along with organizations currently in Panama about what kind of aid kits best serve the local communities and villages.  Once that is determined, we will be asking partner churches to help us pack and ship these items.
