Get Involved with Mísion Panama

One great way to support the work and encourage the church is to bring a campaign team to work with us.  We will begin scheduling campaign efforts during the second half of 2024.

For those who are interested in coming, there are three things we would like you to consider as you plan your trip:

1. Be flexible. We may plan a campaign to a village, working with one of the local churches in a construction project, or hosting a VBS, but I learned a long time ago - always be ready to make last minute adjustments.
2. Remember we do things differently. Panama is a different culture, language, and we have our traditions and practices. We are here to share the gospel as guests in their country.
3. Pack a bag for us. It is expensive for us to import things we need, so budget for an extra bag and ask what to bring. It may be literature, household items, or Spanish Bibles - but we can't begin to tell you what a blessing this is for the work.

There are several ways you can support the work financially.

1. ONE TIME SUPPORT: We currently need to raise funds for our visa paperwork, to ship a container of bibles, literature, and household goods, as well as raise some travel funds. Our estimates place this total at a little over $22,000.
2. INTRODUCE US: Please help us to get appointments with your church, mission's committee, or eldership. We need church partners if we are to succeed.
3. MONTHLY SUPPORT: Most of our support will come from savings and retirement. We plan to purchase our home and transportation with personal funds, but we are asking if you can commit towards our work fund of fa2,500 per month.
4. IN-KIND SUPPORT: As we prepare to send our container, we need individuals to help us purchase Bibles, Bible study courses in Spanish, a power generator, and other tangible items needed for the work.

We truly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you pray for us daily. Put a note in your phone calendar, stick a post-it on your mirror, whatever it takes to pray for us each and every day.

We love it when people join in as financial supporters, or bring mission teams to come and work with us, but nothing is more powerful than your prayers. 

Back in the 1840's there was a man by the name of George Müller who started an orphanage in London. He never asked anyone for a donation, but prayed to God every day for the children's provisions. God blessed Müller's work beyond measure. He had so many children (well over 1,000) that he had to find a complex and build multiple homes to provide for them all.

If you pray for this work, God will give the increase. In addition pray for our continued health. Pray for the local churches here in Panama. Pray for all the others who are also deeply involved in Panama.

I believe in the old adage, "Pray as if everything depended upon God and work as if everything depends upon us.
